Rhacodactylus Ciliatus Crested Geckos (Rhacodactylus ciliatus) are native to mainland New Caledonia and small surrounding islands. Crested Geckos are mainly arboreal (tree dwellers) and will spend only a little time on the ground. These geckos are nocturnal and will seek out hiding places in the branches and near the ground to sleep during the day.
