Thee Fish Bowl well serves Evanston’s pet needs when the next closest pet store is Petco or Petsmart on Oakton or in Skokie. It’s also much larger and better priced that The Hungry Pup just a few blocks down on Chicago.
I frequent this place at least twice a month, picking up treats, new collars, or toys for my puppy. They’re obviously not as well stocked as the larger corporate pet stores, but Thee Fish Bowl is still my favorite. There are always a lot of staff that are willing to help and who also seem to love the animals in the store.
The first time I went into this place I was surprised to see that they had little puppies, kittens, fish, and rabbits for sale! So even if you don’t own a pet, it’s always fun to come in and sight see once in awhile.
