Cozy little mom-n-pop pet store just south of downtown Evanston. On my last visit yesterday, I noticed a sign stating that since August, they have ceased selling puppies and now donate their puppy ‘space’ to local shelters. This seems like the right way to go since it’s so difficult to know for sure that a particular pup didn’t come from a puppy farm somewhere. All of the animals I’ve seen there recently seem playful and healthy. The staff are always eager to help.
